Susan Estabrooks Hahn is a Senior Manager of Genomic Services for Quest Diagnostics and a leader in the field of genomic medicine translation. She manages a professional multidisciplinary team of genetic counselors within the neurology franchise at Quest Diagnostics and is part of the leadership team over the entire Genomic Services group. Collectively, this team is dedicated to advancing and executing high standards in the development, delivery, support, and promotion of commercial genetic testing. Genomic Services contributes to all aspects of genetic test development from idea to implementation and beyond; oversees the provision of genetic test support to providers; collaborates with Quest commercial, marketing, medical affairs, operations and health plan teams; and contribute to the overall field through such things as scientific contributions and volunteer activities and leadership.

Specifically, Susan is nationally recognized for initiating and leading research, outreach, educational, clinical, and policy activities to facilitate and expand the responsible translation of genomic medicine in the clinical setting and the advancement of genetic counseling. Ms. Hahn has published numerous peer-reviewed articles, encyclopedia entries, and chapters, including a joint practice guideline. She has also participated in the development of several NSGC position statements while Chair of the Public Policy Committee. Ms. Hahn has developed educational resources, curriculum, and conferences for clinicians, students, and the public, including three full semester courses addressing genome ethics, law, and policy. She also contributed to the development of the first Masters in Genomic Medicine program for medical students. In 2014, she was President of the American Board of Genetic Counseling.
