The Next Generation in Oligonucleotide Chip Design
A New Standard for Comprehensive Detection of Genomic Anomalies
For detecting genomic copy number alterations (duplication/deletion syndromes), Chromosomal Microarray Analysis, using array-based comparative genomic hybridization (aCGH) offers you the ability to interrogate the entire genome in a single test. Alterations in DNA dosage or genomic copy number are known to be associated with a variety of syndromic and non-syndromic pediatric and adult genetic disorders. Unsurpassed Coverage and Sensitivity- Over 460 defines disease loci
- Probes on over 13,630 genes
- Enhanced subtelomeric analysis
- Over 150 defined developmental disability loci
- Same-sex controls to ensure clear signal in any X-linked disorder
- Parental confirmation at no additional charge
- Targeted placement of multiple oligos covering ~10MB at each telomere
- Average spacing of 26kb throughout the genome
Third Party Billing Service
Athena Diagnostics is the only commercial lab offering comprehensive third party billing services for CGH testing. Athena offers the following services to make the billing process even easier for you and your patients: - In-network with BCBS PPO, POS, and Indemnity plans
- We send claims to the insurance company directly
- We regularly file appeals on behalf of the patient if coverage is denied
- We work with the patient to resolve coverage issues
- If we must bill the patient, flexible payment options are availble
Unique Patient Protection PlanPatients with commercial insurance plans for which Athena is not a contracted provider are eligible for Athena's Patient Protection Plan. This plan limits the patient's out of pocket liability to no more than 20% of the amount billed to their insurance. This way, if the insurance doesn't pay the full amount, the patient will not be responsible for the balance. Click here for more information.
