Third Party Billing Service

Athena Diagnostics is the only commercial lab offering third party billing for CGH testing.  Athena offers the following services to make the billing process even easier for you and your patients:

  • We send claims to the insurance company directly
  • We regularly file appeals on behalf of the patient if coverage is denied
  • We work with the patient to resolve coverage issues
  • If we must bill the patient, flexible payment options are availble

Unique Patient Protection Plan

Patients with a commercial insurance for which Athena is not a contracted provider are eligable for the Patient Protection Plan.  this plan limits the patient's out of pocket liability to no more than 20% of the amount billed to their insurance.  This way, if the insurance doesn't pay the full amount, the patient will not be responsible for the balance.  Click here for more information.
